Preparing the Next Generation

Aimed at preparing the next generation for the professional world, workshops were conducted by renowned industry experts to enable students and educators alike to hone their skills and knowledge, and discover how they can take advantage of today's design technology to shape the future.

Industry & Technology Workshops

  • Latest industry insights on how to effectively prepare students for future trends
  • Existing and future key technologies explored through hands-on sessions
  • Preparation guidance to meet industry expectations

Modern design education thrives when students are given direct exposure to the tools and thinking that shape professional practice. A well-structured boot camp can act as a bridge between classroom theory and the expectations found in studios, fabrication labs, and interdisciplinary teams. By pairing short, focused sessions with hands-on challenges, participants leave with a clearer sense of how concepts translate into real projects, and how emerging technologies can support creative problem solving across many fields of design and engineering today. Equally important is the atmosphere created around these learning experiences. Generous spacing, clean typography, and calm color choices help participants stay focused on the work rather than the environment. Soft rectangular cards, subtle borders, and restrained visual rhythm encourage a sense of clarity and pace that mirrors the discipline being taught. When the setting itself reflects precision and intent, learners are more likely to absorb not only the technical content, but also the mindset that supports thoughtful, collaborative, and forward-looking practice over the long term.

Autodesk Fusion 360 Designathon

Specifically designed to provide students with a taste of the real world, the aspiring young designers were exposed to professional deadlines by being tasked with project assignments that they had to complete on the spot.

On-the-Spot Project Work

Project themes were only revealed on the day of the boot camp, and students were required to complete the assignment within two hours, after which their work was judged and critiqued.
